Saturday, April 5 – Disco Lines

Alright, Tony Price checking in for the last night of this Red Rocks run – Saturday, April 5th, with Disco Lines! Now, after a few nights of heavy bass and more introspective vibes, I was curious to see what a show called "Disco Lines" would bring to the table. And let me tell you, it was a whole lot of fun!

The weather was just about perfect. A clear, crisp Colorado night, the kind where you can see a million stars twinkling above those majestic rocks. It just sets the stage for a good time, you know?

Disco Lines, the solo project of Thadeus Labounty, brought a real party atmosphere to Red Rocks. It was like stepping into a time machine that blended the best parts of classic disco with a modern electronic twist. Think funky basslines, infectious beats, and a whole lot of energy that just made you want to move.

The crowd was definitely feeling it. There was a lot of dancing, a lot of smiles, and just an overall feeling of pure, unadulterated joy. It wasn't the intense headbanging of a bass show or the sophisticated swaying of an indie act – this was just people genuinely having a good time, letting loose and grooving to the music.

Labounty himself was a ball of energy on stage. He was clearly having a blast, and that enthusiasm was totally contagious. He was singing, he was dancing, he was interacting with the crowd – it felt like a big, inclusive party where everyone was invited.

The music was just so upbeat and catchy. It had that classic disco groove that makes you want to get up and move, but with a modern electronic edge that kept things fresh and exciting. There were moments that felt like they could have been straight out of a 70s dance club, and then he'd drop a beat that brought it right into the 21st century. It was a really fun and unique blend.

The visuals were also spot on for the vibe. Lots of bright colors, flashing lights, and retro-inspired graphics that added to the whole disco party feel. It wasn't overly complicated, but it was fun and energetic, perfectly complementing the music.

Now, if I had to find something to mention that wasn't all glitter and good times… well, maybe it wasn't the most musically complex show I've ever seen. It was definitely focused on fun and energy rather than intricate sound design. But honestly, sometimes that's exactly what you need! A night where you can just let your hair down (or what's left of it, in my case!), forget about everything else, and just dance.

Overall, Disco Lines at Red Rocks was a fantastic way to cap off the week. It was a pure celebration of good vibes and infectious energy. It reminded me that music is all about having a good time and connecting with other people through a shared experience. If you're looking for a night of pure fun and dancing under the stars, Disco Lines is definitely an act to check out. Tony Price, signing off – feeling a little bit more groovy than usual!
